07/10/2015: The Stones never seem to stop rolling. Although their tour is ending next week, guitarist Keith Richards plans to keep on moving with his music career, which has already been legendary. Richards will release his third solo album, Crosseyed Heart, in September. Can’t wait that long? Not to worry. The first single, “Trouble”, will be released to eager fans all around the world on July 17th. The album is certainly a collaborative effort, as drummer Steve Jordan co-wrote and produced the album with Richards. The album itself displays a mix of musical interests from reggae to rock to the blues. It should be one of Richards’ most interesting works yet. Be sure to check out his single later this month!

06/22/2015: The Rolling Stones mean a lot to their fans. To some, they mean love. One couple recently shared the story of how they got engaged at a Rolling Stones concert. The lovely bride reported that she came home from the concert with a stone of her own. Another fan revealed a tattoo like no other, which chronicles the year of every Rolling Stones concert he has attended. There are countless fan stories we could tell here, but the bottom line is that the Rolling Stones hold a special place in the hearts of their loyal fans.

06/19/2015: When you’ve been around as long as the Rolling Stones have, your set-list can have quite the variety of combinations. The tour this summer focuses mainly on their work from the 1960’s and 1970’s while throwing in a few new songs and some tracks from the 90’s. Any show that the Stones put on is wonderful, but fans have noticed that their current set-list seems to lack a significant contribution from their work in the 80’s. No one has ever asserted that the 80’s were the peak of their career, but they still made some unforgettable music during that era (I mean, we’re talking about the Stones here). Hopefully the rock n’ roll veterans will heed the cry for more tunes from the 80’s and toss them into the mix.

06/02/2015: Can’t get enough of the Rolling Stones? Well never fear! They have taken to re-releasing new versions of old favorites over the past few months. The hot topic right now is “Brown Sugar”. They originally recorded the tune in two different ways: the one that was published in 1972’s Sticky Fingers and one with Eric Clapton on guitar. The one that guest stars Clapton will be a part of the Sticky Fingers reissue. Other new takes on old favorites that they’ve shared over the past few months include an acoustic version of “Wild Horses” and “Dead Flowers”. Are you rolling in nostalgia yet? 04/01/2015: The Stones are rolling back into North America for their upcoming tour! Mick Jagger explained that he and the band are excited to be back in the States to perform, and they are looking forward to playing everyone’s favorite songs. The legendary band will kick off their tour at Petco Park in San Diego. This will be the band’s only stop on the west coast and many are curious if the band will add another show at the stadium. Their last performance there in 2005 drew a crowd near the stadium’s capacity, and their performance this year will likely draw a crowd of the same size or larger. The rest of the tour winds through the States and ends in Quebec City. Every venue will probably be packed with fans, so make sure to buy your tickets early here at FrontRowTickets.com!

The first group had Brian Jones, Ian Stewart, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts. Since 1993, the band's members have been Jagger, Richards, Watts and guitarist Ronnie Wood. Darryl Jones and Chuck Leavell sit in regularly with the band but are not full band members. The Stones were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989, and were crowned with the title of the “World’s Greatest Rock and Roll Band. First the Rolling Stones achieved success in Europe and then became successful in North America during the British Invasion in the middle of the 1960's. The Rolling Stones have recorded 22 studio albums in the United Kingdom (24 in the United States), 11 live albums (12 in the US), and countless compilations. Their 1971 album Sticky Fingers started a string of eight consecutive studio albums that reached number one in the United States. The Stones latest album, A Bigger Bang, was released in 2005. The Rolling Stones rise to prominence brought greater worldwide focus to the urban blues style of many Chess Records' artists including Muddy Waters, writer of "Rollin' Stone", the song that the band is name after.
