Rock Of Ages Tickets

For legions of music fans who miss the vibrant rock scene of the 1980s, the jukebox musical Rock of Ages has become a hot ticket.  Set in 1987 Los Angeles, the production follows aspiring rockers Drew and Sherrie through a colorful music-studded tale that features a selection of the era’s Top 40 hits.  Songs performed in the show include “Wanted Dead or Alive” (Bon Jovi), “We're Not Gonna Take It” (Twisted Sister), "I Want to Know What Love Is" (Foreigner), "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" (Poison), and "Don't Stop Believin'" (Journey).

This hit show was first staged in L.A.’s King King nightclub back in 2005.  The reception from early audiences was encouraging, and plans were made to expand the production to other venues.  A successful off-Broadway production ran from October 2008 to January 2009, and months later Rock of Ages finally premiered on Broadway, at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.  It proved to be a smash, racking up five Tony Award nominations.  Since then, the Rock of Ages phenomenon has led to several U.S. tours, as well as popular productions in London and Australia.  A feature film adaptation, sporting an ensemble cast that included Tom Cruise, Russell Brand, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, was released in June 2012.
