2/04/2015: After taking a well-deserved few months off of touring, one would think that the stars of One Direction would look refreshed and ready to go. Liam Payne didn’t exactly fit this description as he stepped off his flight to Australia. Who can really blame him, though? Long flights are exhausting. Payne has spent his break doing nothing but relaxing. Known as the most responsible member of the British boy band, Payne didn’t partake in very many worldly activities. He even missed Harry Styles’ 21st birthday party! Hopefully his hiatus from the world of fame has left him energized and excited for the band’s upcoming world tour. 1/27/2015: Do you think you know everything there is to know about One Direction? I bet you didn’t know this little tidbit of information! Fall Out Boy actually wrote a song for the iconic boy band, but apparently the tune didn’t make the final cut. The two bands obviously have very different styles, so it isn’t exactly shocking that their collaboration didn’t end up turning out. Some think that the song may have just been a bit too odd for the sweethearts of 1D. Whatever the reason, the two bands are still fantastic in their own right. Sometimes art just doesn’t turn out the way the artists expected it to.
1/25/2015: Everyone loves a lazy day, even Liam Payne. The One Direction cutie stepped out with his lovely girlfriend this past week, sporting sweats, a T-shirt, and some serious scruff. The Mirror wrote up an article about the outing, assuming that Payne had let himself go during his month-long break. Appalled by any negative criticism toward Payne, One Direction fans came to the rescue on all sorts of social media. Fame does have its perks, and having an army of fans on your side is definitely one of them.
1/19/2015: Which direction is Louis Tomlinson headed in? After his wild success with One Direction, Tomlinson is said to be considering music management. He’s certainly learned from the best, having Simon Cowell as a mentor during his time on the X-factor and throughout his career with One Direction. The singer has said to have been scouring the internet for undiscovered talent, and has set up a company called 78 Productions Limited. Tomlinson definitely has the proper experience and mentoring for the job and fans are eager to watch him succeed.
1/13/2015: Will One Direction be going in five different directions at the end of this year? The world-famous boy band has reached extraordinary success over the past few years, but the pressures of fame seem to be getting to a few of the band members. Zayn Malik has had to postpone wedding plans, and Niall Horan has expressed how frustrating it can be to constantly have to hide from crazy fans. Other members seem to be taking an interest in other areas of work. It is rumored that Harry has been dipping his toe in the pool of the movie business, and some directors predict that he’ll dive in soon after the tour is over. The band’s contract with Simon Cowell is up at the end of the year, and fans are anxious about what the future may hold.
12/08/2014: One Direction was ecstatic to appear on the Today show, but something was off. Zayn Malik was no where to be found. Fans immediately went into a tizzy, tweeting up a storm of questions and even accusations. The present members of the beloved boy band explained that Malik simply had a stomach bug and wasn't able to make the trip, but fans were just too concerned to take their word for it. The twitter sphere catastrophe continued to build until Malik final put all the hubbub to rest, explaining that he was simply too ill to make the flight.
12/01/2014: Life in the fast lane isn't always a walk in the park. Zayn Malik of One Direction recently ran into the cold reality of that fact, when he had to postpone his wedding to the lovely Perrie Edwards. Edwards is a singer herself, and has a busy schedule of her own. The two find it extraordinarily difficult to make time for one another, and when they do they don't want to waste their precious moments together planning a wedding. The fairytale wedding that Edwards has described will take meticulous planning, and niether she nor her lovely fiance have that kind of time. Edwards was frustrated, but it seems Malik is taking the setback even harder than she is. Fame has begun to seriously interfere with his personal life, and he's having a hard time coming to terms with it.
11/03/14: One Direction: Harry Styles, Niall Horan. Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson = the Brits take credit for keeping the boybands alive. Posters behind bedroom doors and stand up cutouts have made a comeback, x's 5! Its hard to believe that after appearing on X factor in 2010, these clean cut teens, just four years later, have turned into tattooed scruffy young men stealing the hearts of our daughters and... what? My wife has their music and videos on her smart phone? She yacks with my tween about getting tickets early before they sell out. I retreat to the den and suddenly I hear: "Honey is it okay with you if I charge a couple tickets for Miller Park?" I think baseball and reply: "No problem." Knowing perfectly well that I just bought myself some leverage. They go to the ballpark for One Direction, I get out for a Brewer's game with the guys. Either way I know we'll have the best seats available through frontrowtickets.com, without breaking the bank. These kids, turned scuffy young men, may not have won on X Factor back in 2010, but they sure are winning big now as they fill up some of the largest performance spaces around the globe, including football stadiums and ballparks in their upcoming 2015 tour starting February 2015 in Sydney, Australia and wrapping up in Foxborough, MA, September, 2015. One Direction tickets make great gifts, order them soon from frontrowtickets.com With the holidays just around the corner, hang out on frontrowtickets.com and cross every name of your gift giving list.
Composed of five young men from England and Ireland, the singing group One Direction has achieved massive worldwide success in a very short time. To date, the band has sold over 12 million records and videos, collected three MTV Video Music Awards, and performed for adoring fans all over the globe.
First seen in 2010 on the British music talent TV show The X Factor, where the group eventually placed 3rd in the competition, One Direction earned an international following upon the release of their first studio album, Up All Night (2011). This album, backed by a hugely successful tour, made history by becoming the first debut record by a British group to enter the U.S. Billboard chart at #1.
Take Me Home, the band’s second album, arrived in 2012. This release also met with massive enthusiasm, with the single “Live While We're Young” landing on many international Top Ten charts.
