06/22/2015: Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixxt is currently attempting to stick it to the man. Apple has made billions (that’s right, not millions, billions) off of the creative content that artists have been supplying since the gadget makers first appeared on the scene. Several artists, including Taylor Swift, are demanding to be compensated for the ridiculous amount that they’ve been ripped off over the years. Some people might find this battle to be a bit stingy, but let’s look at the facts. Apple is so rich as a company, the money that it generates off of interest alone is more than a tenth of what the music industry will make in an entire year, and that’s only interest! Sixxt and Swift, as well as other artists, are lobbying for Apple to compensate artists for the sample stream that is provided for every song on itunes. So far, Apple hasn’t caved. If the unrest grows, however, they might have to reconsider.

2/02/2015: Motley Crue has certainly had a roller coaster of a career. They started off hot, but ran into some problems in the 90’s with band members leaving (Tommy Lee), while others who had left were returning. Lee’s absence was not the death of the band, however, as they found more than adequate replacements for a new album, New Tatoo, and a tour. For a few years after that, the band didn’t do much until they announced a reunion, “Red White and Crue”, which had three new songs built in to the performance. The reunion of band members Tommy Lee and Vince Neil was not a walk in the park, but the two worked out their differences and the band is back on track to finish out their farewell tour this year. Their career has surely been a bumpy ride, but isn’t that half the fun?

Motley Crue announces their final tour presented by Dodge. Motley Crue is calling it quits after a long storied career in hard rock music. Their hits like Looks that Kill, Girls Girls Girls and Shout at the Devil are legendary in rock lore. Be sure to catch them this round or you will be out in the cold without your Motley Crue fix.
