06/22/2015: Do you come from a land down under? Some country fans certainly do! A fact that was unbeknownst to country superstar, Jason Aldean. He was surprised to see how many fans he has in Europe when he toured there, and was surprised even still to learn that he had a significant fan base in the Outback. At one of his fan club parties in Nashville, and Aussie fan approached him and assured him that fans in Australia would absolutely love to see him perform live there. There is definitely a possibility for an Australian tour, and Aldean is excited about further travel.
2/01/2015: In a recent interview with Yahoo Music, Jason Aldean revealed a few interesting facts about himself. When asked about the first album he bought, he immediately replied with “Alabama’s Mountain Music”, a fitting choice. Then later, the interviewer asked about being a father and Aldean explained that he loves how he knows his kids will love him no matter what. You wouldn’t think anything made the superstar nervous. When asked, however, he said that seeing articles in magazines come out about him always makes his stomach churn. He was then asked about Justin Bieber, who has been getting more than his fair share of media coverage. Aldean, attempting to refrain from being too harsh, responded by saying he should “try a little bit to just chill out”. Aldean’s “chill” attitude about all things fame has served him well over the years. Perhaps Bieber should take a page from his book.
1/27/2015: Several stars have taken to opening little side businesses and Jason Aldean wants to get in on this game. In a recent interview, he talked quite a bit about a nightclub he might like to open someday, “I started playing bars at 14. I feel like I know a pretty good bit about the bar business. So something like that would be pretty cool, but I’m talking big nightclub kind of thing.” Most would be willing to bet that he does know “a good bit” about the bar business, and entertainers are also great businessmen. What’s a little peculiar about his idea for this side project is that he probably would not associate his name with the establishment. People would flock to the place from miles away if they knew he had founded the nightclub, but he wants to have a true experience and try his hand at the bar business without the perks of fame. Talk about a down to earth guy!
1/22/2015: Here comes the bride! Jason Aldean and Brittany Kerr have happily announced their engagement! They are to be wed later this year. To celebrate the momentous occasion, the couple threw an exclusive bash with family and friends in Nashville. Those in attendance included Luke Bryan and Eric Church, who worked with Aldean on “The Only Way I Know”. The three country music brothers toasted to the engagement and had a ball at the exclusive club where the celebration was held. What’s a party without a photo booth for memories? The little shindig included a photo booth complete with personalized props to remember the lovely occasion. Guests had a wonderful time, dancing and dining until a little after the clock struck midnight. Congrats to the happy couple!
1/19/2015: It’s always nice to see superstars in their daily lives, reminding us that they’re not so different from us after all. Jason Aldean posted an adorable picture on Instagram on Christmas Eve of him, his wife and his two daughters, Keely and Kendyl. Aldean celebrated his family Christmas at his home outside of Nashville, and loved every minute of it. No matter who you are, family time is always to be cherished.
One of the biggest stars in the contemporary country music scene, Jason Aldean discovered his flair for performing at an early age. As a child he learned to play guitar with help from his father, and by his teen years he was singing in clubs around his native Georgia. At age 21 he relocated to Nashville to chase his dreams of stardom, but for years he struggled to get a career off the ground, as several recording deals fell through.
Aldean seriously contemplated returning to Georgia, but his day in the spotlight finally came when Broken Bow Records put out his debut album, titled Jason Aldean (2005). This gave Aldean no fewer than three top ten hits on the country charts, and when he won Top New Male Vocalist honors at the ACM Awards it was clear that a new star had arrived. He has since released four more albums: Relentless (2007), Wide Open (2009), My Kinda Party (2010), and Night Train (2012). His 2010 duet with Kelly Clarkson, “Don't You Wanna Stay,” introduced him to a new audience, as the song reached #31 on the Billboard Hot 100.
