4/16/2014: The Colorado Rockies were able to bounce back on Tuesday against the San Diego Padres winning the game 3-2 after dropping their first meeting on Monday. The Rockies have been able to stay competitive with teams by being one of the best hitting teams in the MLB with the entire team having an impressive combined batting average of .295 through 15 games.

4/15/2014: Today the Colorado Rockies hope to even the series against the San Diego Padres when they play this afternoon after dropping Monday’s meeting 5-4. Rockies tickets for today’s game are averaging $45, 13% higher than Wednesday game.

4/14/2014: If their weekend series against NL West rival San Francisco Giants was any indication for how the Colorado Rockies will matchup with the rest of the teams in their division then the Rockies are going to make some waves this season. The Rockies might have lost the series two games but that only happened when Brandon Crawford launched a 10th inning walk-off home run to win the game for the Giants. The Rockies will now stay in California to play the San Diego Padres today with Rockies tickets going for $41.

4/11/2014: The Colorado Rockies currently sit at one full game back in the NL West through ten games this season but can make up ground today when they travel to AT&T Park to play the division leading San Francisco Giants this evening. The Rockies have absolutely been crushing the ball lately but will have a tough time continuing their torrid pace against the likes of Madison Bumgarner, Matt Cain and Tim Hudson respectively. Tonight you will find that San Francisco Giants vs Colorado Rockies tickets will be in the neighborhood of $67 on average.

4/10/2014: The Colorado Rockies continue to put on a display of why they are the best hitting team in the major leagues putting up 10 runs in yesterdays win over the Chicago White Sox. While some of that can be attributed to the altitude of Coors Field it will be interesting to note whether or not they can keep up their torrid pace when they head to San Francisco tomorrow where Rockies tickets are averaging $67.

4/9/2014: It may only be the second week of the season but the Colorado Rockies are the best hitting team in the majors and leading the league in runs, batting average, OBP and slugging percentage. This is why what happened yesterday was so out of the ordinary as they were the ones who were pummeled giving up 15 runs on 19 hits to the Chicago White Sox yesterday.

4/8/2014: In the Colorado Rockies home opener against the Chicago White Sox at Coors Field on Monday pitcher Jordan Lyles stole the show. The young player was going to be sent down to Triple A but as fate would have it found himself on the mound yesterday where he was able to go 6 ⅔ innings giving up just one run but he was also able to drive in two runs from the plate as well. The two teams will meet again today which will see Rockies tickets averaging $28 for the game.

4/7/2014: On Sunday the Colorado Rockies succumbed to the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-3 to put them a game under .500 on the year. The Rockies will look to get back to even tonight when they host the Chicago White Sox at Coors Field wherein Rockies tickets are averaging $27 after falling by 19% over the past week.

4/4/2014: The Colorado Rockies were finally able to put in a solid day at the plate notching five runs in their game Thursday night against the Miami Marlins. Unfortunately for them the Marlins did too and were able to take the opening series 3 games to 1. Tonight Colorado will return home to play the Arizona Diamondbacks as both teams search to pick up their second win of the year.

4/3/2014: The first two games the Colorado Rockies played in this year were ones they would like to forget, the third however had a much better ending to it. The Rockies had two great innings early in the game scoring three runs in both the first and fourth innings which was all the firepower they would need going on to win 6-5 over the Miami Marlins to earn their first victory of the year.

4/2/2014: The Colorado Rockies have had a rough start to the 2014 MLB season having lost back to back games to the Miami Marlins. Today they will try to avoid dropping three in a row to the Marlins to start the season in a game that will see Jordan Lyles go up against Henderson Alvarez.

4/1/2014: Opening Day for the Colorado Rockies will be a day that they will want to forget. Playing with star first baseman Todd Helton first time since 1996, the Colorado Rockies lost to the Miami Marlins by a score of 10 to 1 and will play again today again wherein the Rockies look to bounce back.

3/28/2014: Today the Colorado Rockies begin the final series of Spring Training against the Seattle Mariners. The Mariners will look for their newly signed franchise player Robinson Cano to help them get the victory while the Rockies will rely on Carlos Gonzalez to build upon his fantastic 2013 season.

3/27/14: On Wednesday the Colorado Rockies played a Spring Training game against a team that they will see many times this year as both are members of the NL West, the San Francisco Giants. Jorge De La Rosa was able to get some great work in as he prepares for his Opening Day start on Monday by going six innings without giving up a single run. The Giants were able to score late to steal the game but the Rockies have to feel very confident in De La Rosa after seeing him pitch so well against a talented San Francisco squad.

3/26/14: The Colorado Rockies played the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday afternoon and with the great pitching of Juan Nicasio who threw five hitless innings in the Rockies 4-1 victory. The Rockies did not have any trouble hitting the White Sox’s ace Chris Sale who made his last start of Spring Training and gave up six hits and two runs before being pulled in the fourth. The Rockies will now prepare for the San Francisco Giants whom they play later on today.

3/25/14 - The Colorado Rockies were able to pick up the W yesterday in their Spring Training game against the Kansas City Royals by a score of 8-2. The Rockies All-Star shortstop Troy Tulowitzki belted a home run while pitcher Franklin Morales struck out seven in the commanding victory. Today the Rockies will play at the Chicago White Sox.

3/24/14: Colorado Rockies - Yesterday the Colorado Rockies played one of their last remaining games of Spring Training against the Chicago White Sox in Arizona. The White Sox jumped out to an early 5-0 lead by the fifth inning but the Rockies battled back scoring in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings to even up the game which resulted in a tie. The Rockies will now host the Kansas City Royals today before playing the White Sox for the second time in three days tomorrow.

3/21/14: The Rockies lost yesterday to the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3. Juan Nicasio pitched five and two thirds innings, allowing three earned runs on three hits and three walks. He also struck out three. Boone Logan ended up taking the loss, giving up a run in two thirds of an inning.

3/20/14: The Rockies defeated the Chicago Cubs yesterday 9-6. Carlos Gonzalez hit a three run home run and Franklin Morales pitched four innings, allowing only one run on one hit and three walks. He struck out four cubs in the victory.

3/19/14: The Rockies had a day off yesterday but return to the diamond tonight to face the Chicago Cubs at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. Troy Tulowitzki is back after being hit by a pitch last week and being declared day to day, so their slugging shortstop appears unharmed. The Rockies need to hope they can avoid the rash of starting pitchers succumbing to early season injuries, with the most recent being Jarrod Parker of the Oakland Athletics needing season-ending Tommy John surgery.

3/18/14: The Rockies defeated the padres yesterday 9-7 with Brett Anderson taking the victory after throwing six innings of three run ball. He also added five strikeouts as he attempts to position himself as the ace and leader of the Colorado staff. Jason Pridie went four for four and Josh Rutledge added three hits as well.

3/17/14: The Rockies played the Dodgers yesterday to a 3-3 draw at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Arizona. Jordan Lyles started and allowed three runs over 4 and one third innings, but the bullpen pitched 4 and two thirds scoreless innings, with appearances from Latroy Hawkins and Matt Belisle. Prospect Nolan Arenado homered – his second of spring training – to headline the hitting.

3/14/14: The Rockies lost to Oakland yesterday 10-5, holding a 5-3 lead after the top half of the fourth, but giving up seven unanswered runs afterwards. Starter Tyler Chatwood gave up three runs (two earned) over three innings, but Matt Belisle followed with a disappointing four earned runs in just one inning. The Rockies will face the Giants today at Scottsdale Stadium.
