Eric Estrada was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio and he's facing charges of making criminal threats and brandishing a weapon.     Coachella - A man who reportedly crashed into a home in Coachella was under the influence says Riverside County Sheriff's Department. Galvan and the occupants inside the home were not injured. Galvan was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Galvan was transported to a local area hospital as a precaution, prior to being booked at the Riverside County jail in Indio.

    Paul Heredia of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. The passenger, an adult male, was trapped in the wrecked 2000 GMC pickup truck and had to be cut out by county firefighters, said April Newman of the Riverside County Fire Department. He was taken to a hospital with major injuries. The driver was not injured. Jose Antonio Zaragoza Quintero, 39, of Coachella, was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving and causing injury to his passenger, Heredia said. Quintero was booked at the Riverside County jail in Indio.

    A man whose body was found in a burning vehicle in Coachella was identified Saturday by the Riverside County coroner's office as 38- year-old Jason Mathew Cupit of Palm Desert. Near the intersection of Dillon Road and Vista Del Norte. The death is being investigated as a homicide, according to the coroner's office.

    - One person is out of a home following a fire in Coachella. It broke out shortly before 4:00 Friday morning on Calle Avila, near avenue 52 and Harrison. About smoke in the area. Fire crews tell us the blaze started in the garage. They had the flames knocked down in 10 minutes. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.


    No bail for gang member accused of shooting girlfriend twice

    - There is no bail for a Coachella gang member accused of shooting two people in Indio in a crime spree that spanned three weeks. Moreno appeared in court Wednesday afternoon for his arraignment on the most recent of the two shootings. On Monday Riverside County District Attorney Mike Hestrin said Moreno should have not been allowed bail. We are still digging for answers. The two cases are expected to be combined at his next court appearance in September. In the meantime Moreno is being held in the Indio Jail without bail.
