Bonamassa to jam at the Stranahan

    Wednesday, November 19, 2014

Joe Bonamassa has been called a "prodigy" and a "wunderkind," adjectives laid on him thanks to the freakishly authentic blues he was playing as a pudgy 9-year-old out of Utica, N.Y. King, John Lee Hooker, and numerous other blues and Americana luminaries - Bonamassa also is a role model for musicians burned out and beat up by an industry that puts a premium on style over substance. Rather than whine about downloads versus CD sales, wimpy radio programmers who play it safe and ignore new artists, or other music industry indignities, Bonamassa takes an aggressive approach to both his art and commerce.
