10/02/2017: We are by the death of Thomas Earl Petty of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers. He was born on October 20, 1950 – October 2, 2017. As a representative of Tom's family, Tony Dimitriades, longtime manager of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, released the following statement:"On behalf of the Tom Petty family, we are devastated to announce the untimely death of husband, father, brother, leader and friend Tom Petty," Dimitriades wrote. "He suffered cardiac arrest at his home in Malibu in the early hours of the morning of October 2 and was taken to UCLA Medical Center but could not be revived. He died peacefully at 8:40 p.m. Tom Petty was surrounded by family, his bandmates and friends." We remember Tom as a musician, singer, songwriter, multitalented instrumentalist and record producer. He was best known as the lead singer of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, but was also a member and co-founder of the late 1980s supergroup the Traveling Wilburys, and his early band Mudcrutch.

Petty recorded a number of hit singles with the Heartbreakers and as a solo artist, many of which are mainstays on adult contemporary and classic rock radio. His music has been classified as rock and roll, heartland rock and stoner rock. His music has become popular among younger generations. In his career, Petty sold more than 80 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. In 2002, Petty was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Fans are deeply saddened, especially those that were unable to enjoy what in retrospect turned out to be his farewell tour. The music industry grieves as it mourns the death of what many would agree was one of our living legend as an icon of pop culture. Tom now paves his way to a new destination, leaving behind legendary music and performances

05/25/2017: Great news for fans! Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ big 40th anniversary tour adds four new tour dates. The original tour dates brought the group through late July, but why not add a couple second nights. And, why not hit Vancouver and wrap things up in Seattle? Don't be surprised if the group can't stop in mid August, ther're bound to slip another second night in there somewhere or heat things up in the Pacific Northwest with an additional tour dates. Here are the additional dates that we have to look forward to for now:

7/21: Boston, Mass. (2nd night)
7/29: Philadelphia, Pa. (2nd night)
8/17: Vanncouver, B.C.
8/19: Seattle, Wa.

These new dates are expected to feature support from J. Geils Band frontman Peter Wolf at the Boston and Philadelphia stops, expect the Lumineers in Vancouver and Seattle. Mmm... there's an open an gap or two in their schedule. Place your bets now, we just might come out winning with a couple more stops.

Petty has hinted that this may be the band’s last big tour and the group agrees. In the meantime, this doesn't mean they aren't going to blow you away with a fantastic spectacle of a show.

Don't miss your opportunity to see a concert that has already been noted for its flashback sounds and fresh contemporary feel. Click your way through FrontRowTickets.com and get some great tickets in hand before this one gets its own page in the history books of pop culture.

04/29/17: Has it really been 40 years for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers? Yes, and what better way to celebrate than with a summer arena tour. So far the setlist had been fairly consistent with about 20 singles. This concert is like stepping into a time machine or having a jukebox, full of singles and selecting the random selection feature (yes we had jukeboxes in the 70s and 80s, don't pretend you don't remember in an effort to shave 10 years off yur age). Its quite the ride to begin the concert with “Rockin’ Around (With You),” the first track on the band’s self-titled debut album from 1976. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have not been together on stage since the late '80s. This adds up to four decades of rockin and rollin! One of the cool things about these guys taking the stage is the retro looks that they are pulling together, giving the group a timeless look with styles from the 80's to the edge of present days. What a feeling to be dragged back to the late 70s and crazy 80s. One thing for sure, this is a hard concert to walk away from... for generation X and those slightly before, this concert conjures up a feeling of nostalgia that tugs and your heart, however there's nothing Petty about the feeling you'll have when this group really does break your heart and pieces it back together by pulling you forward, stepping you back, and throwing your memory back and forth with one heck of a setlist, check it out, a bang for the buck setlist that promises not to disappoint.

Rockin' Around (With You) - Mary Jane's Last Dance - *You Don't Know How It Feels - Forgotten Man - You Got Lucky - *I Won't Back Down - *Free Fallin' - Walls - Don't Come Around Here No More - *It's Good to Be King - *Time to Move On - *Wildflowers - Learning to Fly - *Yer So Bad - I Should Have Known It - Refugee - *Runnin' Down a Dream
