They became part of the NFL during the NFL/AFL merger in 1970. They moved to Memphis Tennessee in 1997, then to Nashville in 1998 and in 1999 they changed their name to the Titans.

The Titans have been playing their home games at LP Field in Nashville since 1999. Don’t Delay, the Titans are on their way to setting a record for consecutive home games sold out. The Titans have a 13 year sellout streak, so get your Tennessee Titan tickets immediately. LP Field cost $300 million to construct and seats over 69,000 energetic fans. There is an incredible parking lot and bus shuttle service available for every guest at the stadium. This is an open air stadium with real grass. It’s not a rumor; this stadium has the Titans Party Stage where there are live performances throughout the game. After all it is the “Music City”. Now is the time to get your Tennessee Titans game tickets!

The Titans team stats consist of 2 AFL Championships (before the NFL merger), 9 Division Championships, and 1 Conference Championship. In 1999 the Titans were always in the news for being at the top of the standings, making it to the Super Bowl, and selling out every home game their first season in their new stadium. They accomplished one of the best endings to a playoff game that season with one of the most famous plays in NFL history, The Music City Miracle. Unfortunately, the Titans did not bring home the Lombardi Trophy in the Super Bowl that season losing to the Rams.

The Titans have had many talented players on their roster over the years. There are a few who have had player stats not only good enough to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame but to have their number retired. They are Warren Moon, Earl Campbell, and Bruce Matthews.
