4/17/2014: The New York Mets swept the Arizona Diamondbacks beating them 5-2 on Wednesday and altogether have won six of nine on this past road trip. The Mets will now return home on Friday to play the Atlanta Braves whom they began their road trip against two weeks ago with Jon Niese starting the game for New York.

4/16/2014: The Mets have won back to back games against the Arizona Diamondbacks with Tuesday’s win being the more impressive of the two as New York brought the wood and smacked home nine runs while shutting out the Diamondbacks. Today they meet again as the Mets look to go over .500 for the first time this season before finally returning back to Citi Field.

4/15/2014: On Monday the New York Mets were able to get off on the right foot in the first of four games against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Bronson Arroyo of the Dbacks will take the mound to start the game which is averaging around $30 for Diamondbacks vs Mets tickets both today and tomorrow.

4/14/2014: After starting their road trip by winning two out of three games against the Atlanta Braves the Mets followed it up by doing the exact opposite against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The New York Mets will now begin their final road series against the Arizona Diamondbacks before finally being able to return to Citi Field. Arizona Diamondbacks vs New York Mets tickets are some of the lowest of the year as the series is only averaging $33 with today being on the low end at $31.

4/11/2014: By beating the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field in the third game of the series yesterday the New York Mets were able to win their second consecutive series, the first was over the Cincinnati Reds. Immediately following the win the Mets hopped aboard a jet to head cross country to play the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. New York will turn to Dillon Gee who will look to pick up his first win of the year after getting no decisions in both of his first two starts.

4/10/2014: New York Mets pitcher Zack Wheeler had planned for a better outing than he had in yesterdays game against the Atlanta Braves as he only lasted five innings, giving up four runs in that time. Today the two teams will face off in the rubber match of the series and will see Jenrry Mejia battle David Hale of the Braves with tickets averaging $54.

4/9/2014: New York Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon may be 40 years old but no one told him that as he threw an absolute gem yesterday going seven strong of scoreless baseball in the Mets 4-0 win over the Atlanta Braves yesterday. This evening the two teams will meet again as the Mets Zack Wheeler will face off against Ervin Santana in tonights game where Mets tickets are averaging $36.

4/8/2014: Today the New York Mets will begin a nine game road trip that will start in Atlanta before heading to Los Angeles and Arizona respectively. The Mets will be tasked with trying to beat the very talented Atlanta Braves today and will turn to Bartolo Colon to help get them the victory while veteran pitcher Aaron Harang will stand in his way.

4/7/2014: The New York Mets looked to get their third straight win yesterday as they went for the sweep over the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday. The Mets got a nice outing from pitcher Jon Niese who only gave up two runs late into his start but that would be costly as New York couldn’t find a way to match the Reds and ended up losing the game 2-1. Tomorrow the Mets travel down south to play the Atlanta Braves and will turn to Bartolo Colon to beat their NL East rivals.

4/4/2014: On Thursday the New York Mets played and lost their third game of the season to the Washington Nationals who swept their division opponent after beating them 8-2. The Mets will now welcome in the Cincinnati Reds to Citi Field whom they hope to have better luck against than the Nationals. There are currently tons of Mets tickets available for this weekend series against the Reds which begins tonight.

4/3/2014: The New York Mets got off to a great start yesterday when they played the Washington Nationals by scoring in the bottom of the first inning to take the lead. Unfortunately for them they were unable to keep that same pace up as that would be the only run they would score all game going on to lose 5-1 to remain winless on the season.

4/2/2014: The New York Mets lost a heartbreaker on Opening Day to the Washington Nationals in extra innings on Monday. Today they will be out looking for revenge when they give the ball to Bartolo Colon who will attempt to outduel All-Star pitcher Gio Gonzalez today at Citi Field.

4/1/2014: If Opening Day is any indication of how the New York Mets 2014 season will be than the Mets will have a long season ahead of them. The Mets began the season by playing the Washington Nationals close only to lose in extra innings off of three run homer.

3/28/2014: The New York Mets were not able to have the same kind of repeat performance yesterday when they played the Washington Nationals as the day before when the ace of their staff Dillon Gee pitched. They faced the fast rising Jordan Zimmermann of the Nationals who unleashed his full arsenal of pitches against them as Washington blanked the Mets 4-0.

3/27/14: Since being named the Opening Day starter earlier this week many people started to question whether or not Dillion Gee deserved to take the mound in game one for the New York Mets. Yesterday Gee was able to silence all of these doubters as he pitched a masterful game going six innings strong without giving up a hit in his last start before Opening Day. After Gee came out of the game the Mets bullpen unravelled as they gave up nine runs in the seventh and eighth innings to go on to lose the game 9-6.

3/26/14: Yesterday was the first day of rehab for the New York Mets great young pitcher Matt Harvey who started the All-Star Game last season before needing Tommy John surgery. With Harvey out for the entire season it was obvious that he wouldn’t be the Opening Day starter for the Mets so they turned to their other young pitcher Dillon Gee. This will be Gee’s first start on Opening Day and he hopes that he can become the ace that the Mets hope he can be by showing the faith in him to take the mound for Opening Day.

3/25/14 - On Monday the New York Mets beat the St. Louis Cardinals in a close 5-3 victory. Today the Mets will play the Washington Nationals but today also marks the official beginning of Matt Harvey’s rehab. Harvey was having a Cy Young type season last year even starting the All-Star Game but needed Tommy John surgery after feeling soreness in his elbow.

3/24/14: New York Mets - While the New York Mets might not have dominated the offseason headlines like their crosstown rivals, they were able to quietly add some nice pieces to their team which have already shown to be smart decisions. One such player is Curtis Granderson who ironically was a member of the Yankees last season but signed with the Mets and in their game yesterday hit a two run home run in the seventh to put New York up for good over the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday.

3/21/14: The Mets defeated the Atlanta Braves yesterday 7-6 with Jose Valverde taking the win, depite giving up an unearned run and two hits in the final inning. Zach Wheeler started and went five and one third innings, giving up two runs on five hits and also striking out two.

3/20/14: The New York Mets will face the Atlanta Braves today at Tradition Field. They will follow that up with a game against the Minnesota Twins on Friday afternoon. Make sure to grab all your Spring Training tickets for the Mets here at Front Row Tickets.

3/19: The New York Mets won on a walk off hit Tuesday night, defeating the Detroit Tigers 5-4. Daisuke Matsuzaka started for the Mets and gave up all four runs on seven hits across five innings. He gave up a massive home run to MVP Miguel Cabrera deep over the center field wall, though that would be the only hit Cabrera would have on the day.

3/18: The Mets dropped one to the Marlins yesterday, falling behind 8-1 in the early goings, before mounting a bit of a comeback late, but ultimately falling 10-7. A five run eighth made the score a two run difference, but the Marlins added two in the bottom half of the inning to hold on for the victory. John Lannan started for the Mets and gave up five runs over three and one thirds innings pitched.

3/17: The Mets defeated the Cardinals 10-4 yesterday with Daniel Murphy leading the way with three hits. Jonathan Niese started and gave up two runs over two innings as there are continued concerns regarding his shoulder and now elbow. It appears unlikely that he will be able to go by Opening Day, so either Bartolo Colon, Dillon Gee, or Zach Wheeler will most likely get the opening day nod.

3/14/14: The Mets beat the Nationals 7-5 yesterday, scoring 4 runs in the eighth inning and adding another two in the ninth to put the game away. Daisuke Matsuzaka started and pitched 3 and 2/3 innings, allowing only one run across three hits. He struck out 4 in an impressive performance as he tries to win the fifth starting spot in the rotation.

New York Mets

3/13/14: Mets pitching coach Dan Warthen got into a bit of a controversy recently after using a racial slur at a clubhouse translator. Warthen was overheard apologizing to the clubhouse translator by a local reporter who took issue with Warthen’s comment. Warthen has apologized, though we’re sure this is not how he wanted to open up the season.
